Now it begins.
She is on the tracking board as #58915. Her status has changed from "Go-yellow" to "Go-green" and now she is "PTINOR-green". Yellow is pre-op, green is surgery. "Go" must mean ready. PTINOR means the patient is in the OR. The next status is going to be either "HANDOFF" or "START". HANDOFF is from anesthesiologist to surgeon. START is the surgeon doing his thing.
As for me, right now I am heading to the cafeteria. I can't say I am hungry but I haven't had breakfast or lunch or anything to drink since 7:30 this morning so I know I need to do something about that.
